Imports of dead fish and viscera from elsewhere in the EU
Dead fish are known to transmit certain fish diseases. Controls are designed to prevent
VHS, IHN and Infectious Salmon Anaemia (ISA) being introduced into Great Britain in the
viscera of fish susceptible to these diseases. The controls are dependent upon the species of
fish and are set out below.
